Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the VisionFocus Chrome extension (“Service”, “Extension”) operated by machina.gg (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Acceptance of Terms
Section titled “Acceptance of Terms”By installing, accessing, or using VisionFocus, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Section titled “Description of Service”VisionFocus is a Chrome extension that provides:
- Website blocking functionality
- Focus timer features
- Daily vision statement display
- Premium features available through paid subscription
License
Section titled “License”We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use VisionFocus for your personal use, subject to these Terms.
You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the Extension
- Distribute, sublicense, or sell the Extension
- Use the Extension for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to bypass or circumvent any security features
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
User Accounts and Subscriptions
Section titled “User Accounts and Subscriptions”Free Version
Section titled “Free Version”The free version of VisionFocus is available without registration.
Premium Subscription
Section titled “Premium Subscription”- Premium features require a paid subscription ($5/month)
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe via ExtensionPay
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the extension settings
- Refunds are handled according to our refund policy (see below)
Refund Policy
Section titled “Refund Policy”- Full refund available within 7 days of initial purchase
- No refunds for subsequent renewal periods once started
- To request a refund, contact us through GitHub Issues or email
User Responsibilities
Section titled “User Responsibilities”You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Chrome browser profile
- All activity that occurs through your installation of the Extension
- Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws
- Backing up any data you wish to preserve (all data is stored locally)
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Your use of VisionFocus is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your information.
Data and Content
Section titled “Data and Content”Your Data
Section titled “Your Data”- All blocked websites, timers, and vision statements are stored locally on your device
- You retain all rights to your data
- We do not claim ownership of any content you create using the Extension
- Uninstalling the Extension will delete all local data
Backup Responsibility
Section titled “Backup Responsibility”Since all data is stored locally, you are responsible for backing up any important information. We are not liable for any data loss.
Modifications to the Service
Section titled “Modifications to the Service”We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time
- Change pricing for Premium subscriptions with 30 days notice
- Update features and functionality
- Enforce these Terms at our discretion
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through:
- Extension update notifications
- Email notifications (for Premium subscribers)
- Updates to this page
Disclaimer of Warranties
Section titled “Disclaimer of Warranties”VisionFocus is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
We do not guarantee that:
- The Extension will meet your requirements
- The Extension will be available at all times
- All errors will be corrected
- The Extension will be compatible with future Chrome versions
Limitation of Liability
Section titled “Limitation of Liability”To the maximum extent permitted by law, machina.gg and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
- Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service
- Any claim related to website blocking failures or timer accuracy
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (maximum $60 for Premium subscribers, $0 for free users).
Indemnification
Section titled “Indemnification”You agree to indemnify and hold harmless machina.gg from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Extension
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any content you submit through the Extension
Termination
Section titled “Termination”We may terminate or suspend your access to VisionFocus immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Request by law enforcement
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Extension terminates immediately
- You must uninstall the Extension
- Premium subscriptions will be cancelled (refunds subject to our refund policy)
Governing Law
Section titled “Governing Law”These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
Section titled “Dispute Resolution”Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation
- Binding arbitration if negotiation fails
- Small claims court (if eligible)
Intellectual Property
Section titled “Intellectual Property”VisionFocus and all related trademarks, logos, and content are the property of machina.gg. All rights reserved.
You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.
Severability
Section titled “Severability”If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
Section titled “Entire Agreement”These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and machina.gg regarding the use of VisionFocus.
Changes to These Terms
Section titled “Changes to These Terms”We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Updating the “Last Updated” date
- Displaying a notice in the Extension
- Email notification (for Premium subscribers)
Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Summary

Premium subscriptions are $5/month with a 7-day refund policy. Your data is stored locally and is your responsibility to back up. We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss.
